(SPOKANE, Wash. ) - Ben SiegertThe Spokane Shock have announced that DL Ben Siegert, 6-4 288, and DL Ray Gant, 6-2 290, have been added to their 2008 roster.

Siegert finished his collegiate career in 2006 after spending four seasons at Oregon State University. During his four-years as a Beaver, Siegert tallied 86 total tackles with 7 1/2 sacks.

NWC Men's Soccer: #11 Puget Sound 5 - Willamette 1

With the loss, Willamette fell to 2-10-2 on the season, including 0-8-1 in the NWC.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - willamette sports logoThe Bearcats of Willamette University scored first and put up a staunch battle against 11th-ranked University of Puget Sound, but the Loggers broke a 1-1 tie on a goal at 58:04 and eventually defeated WU, 5-1, on Saturday at Sparks Field.

Willamette absorbed most of the game's attacking, as UPS built a 31-3 advantage in total shots and a 14-1 edge in shots on goal.

NWC Women's Soccer: #4 Puget Sound 3 - Willamette 2

With the loss, Willamette dropped to 4-6-2 overall, 3-5-2 in the NWC.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - willamette soccerWillamette University provided a tough battle for the University of Puget Sound, ranked #4 in NCAA Division III (D3Kicks.com), but the Bearcats were unable to record an equalizing goal in the closing minutes, as UPS held on for a 3-2 win at Sparks Field on Saturday.

Willamette led 1-0 after Alex Baxter put in a four-yard header off a corner kick from Kelsey Rogel at the 26:54 mark in the first half.

Oregon Women, Willamette's Zerzan, Win at Mike Hodges Invitational

Zoe Nelson led the Ducks with a second place collegiate finish in 17:23.76.

(OREGON CITY, Ore.) - Sarah ZerzanSarah Zerzan finished first among all collegiate runners, leading the Willamette University women's cross country team to a fourth place team finish at the highly-competitive Mike Hodges Invitational on Saturday. The Willamette men's team earned a third place finish.

Zerzan's time for the 5-kilometer course was 17:07.05. She led three Willamette runners who completed the race in under 18 minutes.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Genessa NeeserOn Senior Recognition Day, freshman Genessa Neeser scored her first collegiate goal and Corban's women's soccer team picked up a much-needed victory, 1-0, over the visiting Red Raiders of Southern Oregon on Saturday afternoon at Warrior Field.

Knowing that a win would help out tremendously in the Cascade Collegiate Conference standings heading into the final game of regular season, the Warriors battled with the Raiders and were scoreless after the opening 45 minutes.

For the second straight game, the Warriors came away from a match-up with Concordia on the losing end of a 2-0 affair.
