(SALEM, Ore. ) - Linfield College scored three goals in the first eight minutes and the Wildcats went on to defeat Willamette University, 6-1, in a Northwest Conference game at Sparks Field on Saturday.
The game's first goal was scored by Linfield's Travis Isaacs just 22 seconds after the opening kickoff.

(KEIZER, Ore. ) - The Willamette University men's and women's cross country teams extended their Northwest Conference winning streaks at the NWC Championships held at Willamette Mission State Park on Saturday.
Willamette's men's team won its seventh straight conference title with a team score of 21, while the Bearcat women's team claimed its sixth consecutive NWC title with a score of 39. (SALEM, Ore. ) - Whitworth University place-kicker Andy Largent kicked a 33-yard field goal in the first overtime period to give the Pirates a 20-17 victory over Willamette University on Saturday at McCulloch Stadium.
Willamette trailed 10-7 at halftime and 17-7 just over three minutes into the third quarter, but rallied to the tie the game.
