Sep-24-2012 13:22TweetFollow @OregonNews MPs welcome People's Mujahedin of Iran's Delisting as 'Terrorist' Group by U.S. State DepartmentSalem-News.comThe winds of democratic change are blowing across the Middle East.
(LONDON) - The British Parliamentary Committee for Iran Freedom welcomes the decision of the U.S. State Department to lift the unjust terrorist designation of the Iranian Resistance movement PMOI (MEK). Yesterday’s landmark decision marks the victory of justice and the rule of law over the policy of appeasement which has been pursued for the past two decades towards Iran’s fundamentalist regime. The State Department’s decision, long overdue, must now be matched with support from Washington for democratic change in Iran. We congratulate Iranian opposition leader Mrs. Maryam Rajavi on her leadership in achieving this victory which was the result of her movement’s firm commitment to the rule of law and unparalleled and relentless legal and political battle. The West must now end its policy of appeasement towards the mullahs and recognise the PMOI and the Iranian Resistance coalition NCRI as the alternative to the fundamentalist regime. The Iranian people have shown time and again they are ready for democratic change. The regime’s representatives must be expelled from the United Nations and their seat must be offered to the Iranian Resistance. The PMOI’s de-listing by the State Department, which was ordered by the Court of Appeals and which follows its de-proscription in the UK and Europe, opens the way for democratic countries to accept PMOI members currently relocating from Camp Ashraf, Iraq. The UN must recognise Camp Liberty as a refugee camp under its mandate, and Iraq must immediately allow Ashraf residents to transfer their property from Ashraf to Liberty. Iraq’s pro-Iranian government had misused the label to justify its inhumane siege and massacres at Camp Ashraf in 2009 and 2011 which left 49 residents killed and more than 1,000 injured. The winds of democratic change are blowing across the Middle East. With the lifting of the chains of oppression on the Iranian Resistance, the Iranian people will gain renewed strength and determination for achieving democratic change. Iran will be free. 22 September 2012 Articles for September 23, 2012 | Articles for September 24, 2012 | Articles for September 25, 2012 | googlec507860f6901db00.html Quick Links

timmee: Your warmongering anti-American response (and many other incendiary responses/articles ad nauseum) below on this persons comment will probably bite you in the ass someday kid.Maybe from some Indiana people?: "Anonymous September 24, 2012 1:33 pm (Pacific time)
Tim King: That is hilarious, you are actually making reference to the Indiana bigot I encountered in Iraq in '08? The thing is that guy was an out and out racist and he was blathering about Obama using the 'N' word and then this Black soldier sat down and I looked at the Indiana racist and said, 'So what was that you were saying about Black people?' and he (seriously) got up and ran away, well maybe briskly walked would be more fair, but you guys are all the same, you use keyboard bravery and anonymity and hide who you are like a little girl, thanks as always for the chuckle.
"Winds of democratic change?" I see Sharia Law established in Egypt, tyrrany in Syria and many other M.E. countries, riots all over for stupid reasons...yes there is change, if more of the same is change. Editor: Progress it is!"
Tim King: I see nothing of the sort and admit it, you would like hardcore Sharia law more than anyone, that way you could boss your woman around with more vigor than ever, except I doubt you are into women. Whatever.

Iranian talk of "incinerating" Israel or "wiping it off the face of the earth" with nuclear weapons indicates a fatal misunderstanding of the effects of nuclear weapons. And how suicidal their leadership is, because we will soon let them know how stoneage their tech is. Anyway how can these G-dless devil creatures believe that the blast and ensuing fallout will only kill Israelis and not others?
Editor: You know that Iran never said that, it is FOX news and Bibi who have rattled off that BS. It is not true, the president of Iran is against Zionist apartheid and so am I.
Their beloved Palestinian rootless nomads will bare much of the brunt of a nuclear attack because many live and work in Israel, while others live in close proximity of the Israeli borders.
Editor: That is a contradiction, Palestinians are rooted in their land that Israel illegally stole. God what a racist you are!
Fallout from a major nuclear attack will likely make much of Israel uninhabitable, including holy sites of Islam, while predominant winds will carry fallout over Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Kuwait, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and yes.....Iran. (yesss!)
Editor: Did you attend 'special' schools? Did you wear a football helmet in a school bus? You do not deserve to comment here, but you are funny. Iran has absolutely no history of attacking foreign countries with limited exceptions. Israel's military is a band of bloody murderers.
Then there is the possibility of weapons failures and inaccuracies which could create chaos in unintended target areas. Potential EMP effects could destroy electrical grids, computer systems and networks that could disrupt at least some of the Middle East.
Editor Israel has hundreds of illegal, undeclared nuclear weapons, fucking read history 'Al', it would do you good, but you are a racist Arab hater and a useless one at that.
There is also the danger of fallout and contaminated debris getting into the water system. Water is a scarce and contested resource in the Middle East, and polluting just a single source could result in long-term devastation of the water supply.
Editor: Yeah no shit, Israeli nukes will be the death of us all, I only hope you and your ilk go first
Iran’s insane pursuit of a nuclear strike capability complements the insane strategy of actually carrying it out. It would a hollow victory for Iran, and an unmitigated disaster for the Middle East.
Editor: LOL!
