(SALEM) - Shangri-La Corporation announced Friday their purchase of a 56,000 square foot facility in Salem's Fairview Industrial Park. The purchase was made possible thanks to the contributions and support of the members of Cascadia Development; LCG Pence & Pence/Kelly Construction; Kelly White, West Coast Bank; John Safstrom, Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments and various individual donors. "Strong non-profit organizations must strategically balance increasing service demands and dwindling funding with effective commercial practices and successful partnerships to survive in today's business climate," said Jan Kral, CEO. "We are honored by our donors' investment in Shangri-La, which allows for additional revenues to be directed toward providing critical services that directly impact our community and those we serve." Located at 4080 Reed Rd, the mixed use facility incorporates several Shangri-La business and manufacturing operations, as well as offering Shangri-La a base of operation for their diverse organization, serving thousands of Oregonians across seven counties. An Open House Celebration is planned for September 21st from 4:00-6:00 PM; the public is invited to attend. With the lack of self-sustaining jobs outside of wasteful government jobs pretty soon we will all be in a Shangri-La.
