(SALEM) - Police investigators in Keizer are trying to determine exactly why a northbound motorcycle collided with a van Monday afternoonb on River Road, north of Chemawa Road. Sgt. Bob Trump with Keizer Police says the 22 year old motorcyclist was transported to a Portland area hospital from Salem Hospital with serious injuries from the 3:20 PM crash. The wreck restricted northbound traffic for River Road, north of Chemawa Road Monday for about an hour. One northbound lane was closed while officers investigated the scene. Trump says no one else was injured in the crash. He says the names of the involved individuals are not being released at this time.
