(SALEM) - Salem-News.com's Bonnie King takes you on a visual journey of the Healing Field in Salem, Oregon to commemorate Americans lost in the wars overseas and those who died during the September 11th attacks on the United States. With a little help from one of the nation's most regarded singers, the late Louis Armstrong, experience the gathering of people and over 4,500 flags on this important five-year anniversary of the September 11th attacks that left thousands dead and a nation reeling in shock and grief. Each of the fallen veterans from conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan is remembered in name by a special marked plaque beneath the flags. Other flags honor those lost in the World Trade Towers, the Pentagon and Flight 93. Special ceremonies have been held in conjunction with the Healing Fields. They are the concept of Paul Swenson: www.healingfield.org/salem, who says it is an important project that started small. Swenson says many felt a healing take place inside their hearts during the first display he set up, "You could not walk through the display without getting emotional." And the same holds true for this display in Salem. We went to the healing field at Salem Waterfront Park last night and I was so touched with what I saw and what I felt!! My heart goes out to the families, friends, and loved ones of those lost. The video from Salem-News.com, with the selected music playing, was a perfect gift to those who died and to those of us still alive. Thank YOU

"It's A Beautiful Video Bonnie" I felt sad when I watched it. I know that these young and sometimes not so young people died for companies listed on the stock exchanges and to feather the nests of the global elite.
