It has been long accepted by most of the 'conspiracy theorists', or truth seekers, that loose change is a poor production. Originally, it was created by a teenager as a fun project so bash it all you want. I admit there is a lot lacking in loose change but there are many, many other sources of information to be found.

Tom, Just like the hybrid plants that threaten to upset biological balance that the farming industry did to us. It's too late to "find out" some of the key things that make it possible to unwind the evil. The term "industry" as it applies to this work of politics blesses any thing that furthers it's influence, just like any other "industry". (journalism) Too bad the blessing ends with the industry machine because we non machines become it's food.

It is easy to summarily accept or reject the contents of ‘Loose Change’ and likewise it is easy to summarily accept or reject the ‘9/11 Commission Report’. It is far more difficult to find facts, evidence, truth and logic to support any explanations of what really happened on 9/11 – but it is vitally important that we force ourselves to do it. The are obvious reasons why neither ‘Loose Change’ nor the ‘9/11 Commission Report’ should be accepted at face value. In the case of ‘Loose Change’, we have a documentary written and directed by people unknown to us. We have no idea as to what their skills are, motivations, affiliations, etc. and must therefore validate and verify information before it can be accepted. The 9/11 Commission was touted as being “…independent, impartial, thorough and nonpartisan.” Yet the chief architect of the final report and Executive Editor for the Commission is a member of the Bush Administration who played a key role in Bush’s transition team, is a long time friend of Condaleeza Rice with whom he co-authored a book and continues to work with the State Department. How independent, impartial, thorough and nonpartisan do you think he might be? Once again, the onus is on us to get the evidence to determine what is fact and what is fiction. The truth will set you free.

"The Truth and Lies of 9/11" with Mike Ruppert, formerly of L.A.P.D. This documentary is totally nonspeculative. As a matter of fact Ruppert was pulled off of Nightline years ago when he was going to blow the cover off of the C.I.A. and others. Check it out!

I also am interested in discovering the truth about the 911 attacks. But this event is only one of many I've observed over the last few years that have a growing sophistication of stagecraft to it. There are definitly competing forces, but another level of security has bypassed the known structure. The most difficult problem for them is what to do with us. People behave according to what they believe and the "belief influence" extends concentrically from each individual with the number of levels determined by the varying degree of awarness of each individual. Computer models are able to statistically discern our response to stimuli. (predict our response to events) The event being undeniable and presumably explainable becomes discovered to us as the layers of fact become known. The flow of information from that discovery is what creates us at a basic level. We are fed the information then develop our beliefs using the information. Our actions follow but they are based on flaws because the truth about the CAUSE of the event is unavailable. "What if" senerios abound which is one of the desired behaviors. The varietal emotional responses occur affecting awareness therefore are model inclusive. The question is "Who's doing what and why?" We DO need to be concerned and vigilant in some sense, but more importantly we also must solidify our personal foundational beliefs. Those belief awarenesses are the new gates of the city where once the whole town worked to protect, now through the (other-worldly creation of AI statistical modeling) the individual is being broken into and redefined without his consent.

A documentary totally factual is "The Truth and Lies of 9/11." Mike Ruppert was pulled off of Nightline when Ted Koppel was doing the program. I was stunned and so was Koppel and millions of others. The powers in main stream media wanted to shut him up. Main stream media is beholden to political interests that give them privilege. Political interests are beholden to multinational and global bankers. Ruppert did not get a chance to speak one word. People have such short memories. He was going to blow the cover off of so much. I stand by my observations regarding peoples’ beliefs and how they choose and perceive their frames of reference. And, it doesn’t take all that much research. But cover-up? Of course there’s a cover-up. There’s always a cover-up. There are usually several cover-ups. Somebody’s always covering their own ass. Somebody’s always deciding what’s Really Important and should be included in The Report (there’s always a Report). Somebody’s always finding things that are Important Details that were Left Out of The Report, so there’s a New Comprehensive Report. Somebody’s always losing or misplacing evidence of one kind or another and the Official Story (my personal favorite) is “We Have No Record Of That.” It goes on and on. And on. Ever sat on a “grand” jury?

Joel Walker obviously has not done much research if he can make a statement like "people will seek easier-to-believe answers if the available evidence is beyond their quick comprehension in either scope or depth." Most of us who challenge the Governments story have put in hours upon hours of research. Everyone believes something different and that is ok, the only part of this deal I cannot accept is the robots who automatically believe what they see on their TV screens and then use that little bit of politically tainted information to argue with others who have done hours of digging and researching on the subject. I'm am not saying Joel is wrong in his beliefs and/or statements but I can't help but see that there are holes in this story which a 747 could fly through. For anyone who is angry at us for not automatically believing what we are told, look into it a little deeper and you will be suprised at what you find. This is a good starting point....http://www.complete911timeline.org/ I served in the military and I am a patriot, I love America and everything she has to offer and THAT is why I question these half truths and lies because, even with all the theories out there one this is definatly true beyond a doubt, there IS a cover up going on for some reason...we just don't know what that reason is....yet. Good work Tim but careful with Loose Change, it could use a lot of improvement but not bad for a movie that a kid created which began only as a fun project.

What I'm saying is: people will seek easier-to-believe answers if the available evidence is beyond their quick comprehension in either scope or depth. They will seek answers that more easily make world-affecting events comprehensible to them. They will more easily accept answers that are crafted in such a way as to support their own concept of their (or their identified group’s) importance in the greater scheme of things. And of course, some people would rather not examine facts at all; hence religion, astrology, and so on. I can’t find a conspiracy in all the 9/11 “stuff” just by virtue of the numbers of people who would have to keep the secret, and we are far beyond the administrative environment that permitted the secrecy of the Manhattan Project. Now that I’ve said it three times, with decreasing subtlety, I’d like to go back to giving the DEA a bad time for their “street value” valuation methods.

Sorry, Tim, you over-reach a bit with "Joel Walker also plainly states ..." What I'm "plainly stating" - evidently too plainly - is that these huge conspiracy theories are on the same level with alien abduction and creationism - and astrology, for that matter. This is not to trivialize you loss, or anyone else's. And it isn't meant to say there's no such thing as a conspiracy - just that maybe people seek comfort where they can find it when the explanations for what happens in the world we live in aren't readily comprehensible. That's why some people persist in ignoring evidence in favor of "common sense." Any moderately careful examination of potential targets will yield the conclusion that a couple of dozen people - maybe less - could bring this country to a complete standstill. Spreading an effectual conspiracy out over more than that would expose too many axes that want grinding and too many book deals that want to be made. Even then, somebody among the two dozen can be expected to shoot their mouth off within a few weeks at most.

Another good documentary that has no speculation is "The Truth and Lies of 9/11" "Loose Change" is slightly speculative but is a great documentary. The towers collapsed with pin point perfect demolition and again, were where the F-15s. Watch even a little of it. You will not be able to get enough. I was near Manhattan on 9/11. My friends were working their. People in the city of New York, Long Island and parts of New Jersey know what the deal was and are surprised that most of the rest of the country is still buying the old story and lies. Watch the doc. The people in New York mostly know what cooked. They do not understand why the rest of the nation has fallen for the Reichstag Fire.

Michael Shermer and I have written back and forth a couple of times. He is a nice guy, but he has no solid way to explain the inconsistencies. All he can do is say "it isn't true" while never explaining a thing about what this article really gets at. Not exactly scientific. That sounds similar to other problems being played out time and time again under the Bush/Cheney team. Joel Walker also plainly states that creationism is what... a conspiracy theory? Michael Shermer compared the whole thing to the Holocaust "revisionist" thing and I told him at the time that he had no business comparing a suspicious attack on my country with the sick and crazy notion that the Holocaust didn't really happen. My dad's friends were there, they freed the Jews and buried others and were scarred for years over it.

A friend called me when the first drone went into the first Trade Tower. My first reaction was, "Where in the hell are all the fighter jets." I also recently spoke to someone that worked for Cantor Fitzgerald. He was in the London office on that morning. He told me that the first thing that came to his mind was that it was an inside job. When I was about 15 years old the Trade Towers were being built. As Long Islanders are very familiar with Manhattan, we hated the Towers and did no want them to show-up the Empire State Building which to us was always the symbol of Manhattan and ironically is again. Those towers were built to withstand multiple jet crashes. The media, the C.I.A., Tony Blair and M16, the list goes on have done a wonderful job in tricking the public with the magic show of 9/11. Thank God for Loose Change and even people like me that can tell you I kept looking into the sky waiting for some kind of Air Defense. This did not happen because most of NORAD fighters were on a bogus training mission in Canada and Alaska for a practice drill against a pretend Russian invasion. Bush, Rumsfeld, Rice, the oil companies, Larry Silverstein, the traitors in the C.I.A., the television media and worst of all the global bankers and others of the global elite that conspired for this to happen and blamed it on a bunch of no count Arab men, are all war criminals (not the Arabs) and should be tried just like the Nuremberg Trials. People also forget that billions in gold were being stored underground near the site from various countries. The figure in today's dollars is about 200 billion (verify the exact number.) Just a small fraction of the gold was resued, what happent to the largest portion of the gold stored there....It is all gone. 911 was an old game used as a pretext to go into the MIddle East to grab the last oil possible.

James, that is the kind of evidence that would quiet people. There is one shot of wreckage that the AP was brought up to photograph. It has no burn marks, and it is the only wreckage photo that I know if to be released. There are all kinds of photos that show no wreckage. Can you give us details on where the pics you refer to are located?

Well you should try google again, because your source isn't correct. He ended his term on the board of directors (hardly a controlling position BTW) in June 2000. I can send you the SEC filings if you wish. What disappearing jetliner are you referring to? The pentagon? It didn't disappear, they found the engines, parts of the fuselage, the black boxes, even bodies of the passengers still strapped to their seats. The movie left out that part.

Pat, I checked out Marvin Bush through other sources, and he was supposed to have held that position until the day before the attacks.. The cell phone calls are very suspicious, but there are more problems with Loose Change on that subject. I just see these things as small parts though; it is the disappearing jetliner that I can't accept. The only conspiracy theory I see it, is the one launched by the government that led us to war with a country that had 100% nothing to do with the attacks. It is the evolution of the administration that draws the strongest suspicions.

Tim, use a little critical thinking and check things out just a little harder. The movie notes that Marvin Bush was on the Board of Directors of the security company from 1993 to fiscal 2000. What does that mean? That he was not with the company in 2001. They slipped one past you. And the claim about the contract expiring coincidentally on September 10th is false. Check the citations on that. Barbara Bush's Reflections does not confirm that; you can do a search of the book on Amazon, and pretty quickly see that story does not appear in it. I notice that you don't discuss the tinfoil hat stuff about the cellphone calls being faked, or that Flight 93 was secretly offloaded in Cleveland with the passengers on all four flights hustled into a NASA building. Once you realize these guys are lying to you about Marvin Bush, you should begin to have doubts about the rest of the film. It misleads you about a lot of things. Google April Gallop and Wally Miller and you'll quickly find plenty of quotes that put the lie to the claim that they believe in the conspiracy presented in Loose Change.

Excellent article Tim. I encourage every American to do his/her own research and to focus on verifiable facts and common sense. The laws of nature and science can't be broken. Go back and watch/listen to what the media told us as they witnessed the events on 9/11. Learn what our laws dictate in times of plane crashes, national emergencies, hijackings, and crime scenes and compare that to what happened on and after 9/11. Read the gripping testimonies of 503 firefighters/EMT's which were released by court order in August 2005 and find out why Mayor Bloomberg had withheld them. Read the `9/11 Commission Report` and decide if they proved their case beyond a reasonable doubt. On September 11, the world changed forever. Our nation joined hands as Americans united in the goal to see that justice is served and willing to make sacrifices as required. We are asking our sons, daughters and loved ones to risk their lives in this cause, now we must DEMAND that our leaders give us the TRUTH. �When the government fears the people, there is liberty.
