UPDATE: Three Arrested After Teen Found Beaten, Shot in Newberg

(NEWBERG, Ore. ) - Police in Newberg say a teen was found beaten and shot in the head Monday night.

Police say they received a 9-1-1 call just after 10:00 PM reporting a fight at South College and East Ninth streets between four or five people.

When officers arrived they found a 16-year-old boy who had been beaten and shot twice in the head.

The victim was flown by helicopter to Emanuel Hospital in Portland police said.

Police says 16-year-old Marino Dominquez-Avendano, 16-year-old Jesus Antonio Gonzalez and 17-year-old Brian Joseph Perez have been taken into custody on attempted assault and attempted robbery charges.

All three were transported to the Yamhill County Juvenile Detention Facility.
