(Jacksonville) - Two buses trundled to a cemetery in Gaza that had become the unfortunate home of a number of desperate Palestinian refugees. Hussein Haniyeh and the Shabab-4-Life team had come to pick up sixty children living in that poor refuge from international politics to give them a day out for recreation and a little education. Their first stop on August 14th was at the Omari Mosque where the shaykh gave the children some history about the mosque and let them explore its facilities. From there the team took them to Gaza Park for an al fresco breakfast followed by games and running about. At lunchtime, the children were taken to another spot, Sharm Park, where they had lunch and spent the rest of the day having more fun and games. At the end of the day, Hussein and the Shabab-4-Life team brought them back to their families in the cemetery, a little tired and, we hope, a lot happier. The outing was sponsored by Professor Mahmoud Ayoub, Dr. Jay R. Crook, Lisa Spaulding, Louis Narcisi, Mr. and Mrs. Selamin Belica, and Jamal Belica, founder of Aldin Entertainment Music Group. ***Real love and respect for all who made this happen. It is from numberless diverse acts of courage and belief that human history is shaped." "Each time a man stands up for an ideal, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, he sends forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring those ripples build a current which can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." ― Robert F.
