Thank You Taps Players

My goal today was to share this piece with you and say thanks to all the Taps players out there at the same time.

(PORTLAND, Ore) - (Forward by Tim King: Q Madp is a good friend, he dedicates his life to honoring to those who served this country. Everyone doesn't always understand, but he's probably the single most well intentioned patriot in existence. He photographs the funerals and memorials for people who served in uniform. He travels all over the NW to do this and if the family agrees, he shares images with the media and press. Q wants to see honor and respect for the United States flag and he wants to see families survive the tragedies of war. Here is a snapshot of a day in his life.)

I was up until 0134 this morning adding names. The second batch I was expecting came in. My condolences to all the families and friends of these heroes. They will not be forgotten here: IraqWarHeroes.org.

Today was a weird day, 3 endings.

My morning started with the sad news from a wife of a person I know who decided to commit suicide early this morning. Well, decided is the wrong word, he did that a long time ago and this morning he carried it out.

This afternoon I attended the funeral of someone I did not know, who I think died of heart failure and he was part of Multnomah County search & rescue.

For many years, I've thought I have made up a tune that I thought existed out there somewhere. I had heard it on one of my many overseas excursions, back in the day when I traveled light.

The tune is like an extended full version of Taps and the title is Il Silenzio, which is Italian.

I stumbled across it searching for something else and I listened, and I cried. It brought back memories I didn't know I had.

So, my goal today was to share this piece with you and say thanks to all the Taps players out there at the same time.

If you like this story, please Digg it or upload it to other sites, pass it on. I spent time picking out some photos and put this together.

I bid you all a good night.

We are still at war and there are men and women out there in the war zone. Please remember and support them and keep in mind all of those that gave their all, and their families and friends that are hurting and need your support.
