Man Dies After Falling Into Golf Course Water Hazard

Police have not released the name of the victim.

(RIDGEFIELD, Wash.) - Clark County Sheriff's Deputies say a man visiting the area from South Korea died after he fell into a water hazard on a Ridgefield, Wash. golf course Sunday morning.

Police said the 50-year-old man was golfing at the Tri-Mountain Golf Course when he slipped into the water hazard near the 14th fairway.

Investigators said the man’s son jumped in after his father, but he could not pull him out of the water.

Rescue crews pulled the man from the water and were able to get the his heart beating with CPR. The man was transported to Legacy Salmon Creek Hospital in Vancouver, where he later died.

Police have not released the name of the victim.

An autopsy will be performed later today.
