(PHOENIX, Az.) - It took five years to finally be released to the public, but video of a Phoenix Police officer planting evidence on an innocent homeless woman Thursday was well timed. Well timed that is, to coincide with a Murder charge against the same cop, a Phoenix officer named Richard Chrisman. Police released the video Thursday showing Chrisman arresting a woman right next the medical examiner's office in Phoenix. Security guards inside were watching him on surveillance video. What they saw bothered them so much, they turned the tape over to the police department. In that 2005 incident, Chrisman and his partner arrested a homeless woman on an outstanding warrant. According to the internal affairs investigation, Chrisman and his partner planted drug paraphernalia on the woman -- because they wanted to play a joke on the woman, who is mentally challenged. Chrisman puts a brilo pad and pipe in his partner's left hand. His female partner then pretends to pull the pipe out of the woman's dress. Chrisman said he knew the suspect, and just wanted to get a rise out of her. He was suspended for one day and put on the Brady List -- his partner was also suspended for one day and put on the Brady List. The woman wasn't charged with anything related to the planted evidence. The real question is why do these LEO's have evidence they can plant at anytime in thier car? Answer, this isnt the first time they have used this ploy. How many other people have they done this to ? Will this be distributed to all defense att. to use to attack the credibillity of these officers . Will they use it? A joke? WTF? Peace

That is so sad, I am happy it is on tape. Every cop in the video needs jail time.
