Salem Man Arrested in Fatal Weekend Stabbing

On Tuesday, Salem Police arrested 18-year old Evaristo Antonio Tenorio in connection with the stabbing of Esteven Zapata.

(SALEM, Ore.) - A suspect in a stabbing that happened Saturday in Salem has been arrested. Salem Police say the stabbing happened at 12:03 AM Saturday, October 13th in the parking lot of the McDonald's restaurant located on the corner of Lancaster Drive NE and Devonshire Drive NE in Salem.

Responding officers found that Esteven Zapata had been stabbed during this incident and had died shortly thereafter.

An autopsy of Esteven Zapata was conducted Saturday at the Oregon State Medical Examiner's Office.

On Tuesday, Salem Police arrested 18-year old Evaristo Antonio Tenorio in connection with the stabbing of Esteven Zapata.

The arraignment of Evaristo Antonio Tenorio will take place tomorrow morning at 8:30 AM in the Marion County Court Annex.
