(SALEM, Ore.) - Germany’s member of parliament from the Socialist party, Sevim Dağdelen, provided evidence while claiming Turkey’s AK party uses the fight against ISIL as a cover up to pursue its domestic and foreign objectives. Dağdelen further said that Turkey’s foreign objective is weakening PYD and Kurdish activities in Northern Syria with the excuse of attacking ISIL positions.

She also considered instigating Kurds to conduct disruptive operations and thus spread insecurity inside Kurdish regions in Turkey to manage public opinion, as the domestic objective.

Erdogan scapegoats the insecurity to persuade the public opinion about the raging power of Kurds in Turkey’s power structure, intensifying the insecurity along with destabilizing the governance. Political insiders say Erdogan also has an eye on reducing the MHP party. Dağdelen questioned Germany’s strategy in alliance with Turkey to fight ISIL and demanded the return of her country’s missile forces from Syrian borders.

Germany’s intelligence agency, BND, published documents proving AK party’s cooperation with ISIL terrorists.
