(SALEM) - Publishing our 25,000th article this week was a real milestone for Salem-News.com. Launched during the summer of 2004, the site today has approximately 105 writers hailing from 25 countries. Our regular visitors know that Salem-News.com covers beats that other news channels ignore. Palestine, Sri Lanka, Iran, Lebanon, Sudan, Burma, Pakistan and Balochistan are regions that we constantly cover, but we need the assistance of our readers to continue and we want those who visit to understand this. We replicate the services of large news agencies with hundreds of employees, with a very small number of people, most of whom are volunteers. By helping this news organization, you directly support our ability to rally for the downtrodden masses suffering from government abuse and the effects of war and other trauma. Human Rights define our primary purpose. There is no greater subject; nothing is worse for humanity than genocide, war crimes and ethnic cleansing. These things take place on a daily basis and we constantly explore the relationship between the actions of western government and the resulting impacts on human beings. Your support makes this all possible. We have been recognized for our human rights reporting; Salem-News.com founder Tim King, and Bonnie King, were recently recognized in Maryland at the largest North American gathering of Tamil people, (a persecuted minority ethnic group in Sri Lanka). Both spoke at the event and Tim was FeTNA's (Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America) 2012 Keynote speaker in Baltimore. The event was an incredible honor, but it does not help pay the bills and we need the support of our readers in order to keep the operation intact. Our own Human Rights Ambassador directly contacts government officials every single day and has been credited with helping one activist be relieved from torture at the hands of ISI police in Pakistan. We are truly trying to make a difference in this world and we have big plans, so please, click on the PayPal button and make a donation right now. We need it, and we appreciate your generosity because there are few more important things than an organization that has the potential to save lives. Please keep Salem-News.com alive. We are going to keep saying this because we want Salem-News.com, which understandably has many expenses, to last well into the future. We want to keep political leaders on their toes, we rally for Veterans also, and a long list of other important subjects. So, if you can help then please send what you can via the PayPal icon below, which is also located at the top right side of Salem-News.com. You can always write to me with questions at tim@salem-news.com. For Bonnie the address is bonnie@salem-news.com Support If you want to send money or a check then please just write to: _________________________________________

I am having trouble with Paypal, it just keeps coming up asking to repeat the same process over and over. You have a home address Tim, and I'll send a check. Instead of doing the "car donation" to some outfit that is probably using the funds to enrich themselves, I'll send the proceeds to you. At least this way I'll know for sure that my funds are 100% wasted.
THANK YOU! Sorry about Paypal, it's hard to figure what's up sometimes. Here's the address though, that will be fantastic.

I could not have said it better, than Coral Anika Theill commented. Wish you continued success.

Congratulations Tim and Bonnie! You both have made a huge difference in the lives of so many people - locally, nationally and internationally. You are a powerful and strong voice for those who fall through the cracks of the judicial and social systems around the world - veterans, the elderly, disabled, homeless, and mentally ill, prisoners, juveniles, and victims of domestic violence, rape, child abuse, incest, human trafficking, etc.
[Return to Top]Your articles and advocacy help promote a world that is safe for all people of all races, cultures, and religions. Keep up the great work! It is an honor to know you!

•We abhor Genocide, corruption, colonialism, needless war and greed.

•We decry prescription drug abuse and the failed war on drugs, and we write about medical marijuana in honest terms.
•We object to almost all wars but support veterans of all backgrounds and nations.
•We speak out over police brutality and refuse to brand motorcycle club members as 'gang' members.
•We believe in protecting children and object to the government's lackadaisical approach to fighting human trafficking.
•We strongly object to domestic abuse and seek to end the systems that allow 'good old boy' politics to persist.
