(TIGARD, Ore.) - Residents in Tigard woke up this morning to find a rash of vandalism which occurred overnight in neighborhoods located in the southeast area of the city. Tigard Police has documented ten reports so far with the potential for additional discoveries of vandalism as the day progresses.

The vandalism all stems from black spray paint which was discovered on garage doors, vehicles, sidewalks, mailboxes and a church. Lewd graphics, swastikas and other blatant damage caused by black enamel paint was discovered by a host of property owners. Some of the property owners have already begun the tedious process to possibly remove the paint and recover from the damage. One homeowner woke up to find nearly their entire garage door covered with a lewd graphic of male genitalia. Police reports indicated one victim observed a swastika on their garage door and front sidewalk. Police have no suspect information at this time.

Police are asking for assistance from the community in efforts to help identify the person(s) responsible. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Tigard Police at 503-718-COPS or via email: tips@tigard-or.gov
