3 Salem Teens Injured When Car Hits Stone Wall

Firefighters had to extricate the front seat passenger who was pinned inside the vehicle by cutting off the door.

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Three Salem teens were injured in a motor vehicle accident Friday afternoon, when the car they were riding in slammed into a stone wall.

Salem Fire Department spokeman Bill Holstrom says the incident occurred around 2:48 PM at the intersection of Titan Drive and Firefox Street in West Salem. First arriving firefighters discovered a Honda Accord had hit a stone wall in a front yard.

Firefighters had to extricate the front seat passenger who was pinned inside the vehicle by cutting off the door.

The driver fled the scene before emergency crews and Salem police arrived on scene.

The three teens, ages 15, 16, and 17. were transported to Salem Hospital in fair condition.

Salem police are still investigating the accident.
