Woodburn Man Arrested in Stabbing

Jose Rodriguez-Cano was arrested for second-degree Assault and for a Parole Violation.

(WOODBURN, Ore.) - Police have arrested a man wanted in connection with a Woodburn stabbing that happened last Thursday night at 8:30 PM. 27-year old Jose Rodriguez-Cano was taken into custody by Woodburn Police.

Local news reports indicate that the stabbing outside of the A&J Market on Thursday was preceded by a large gathering and a fight involving other people. The market is located on Front Street in Woodburn.

The victim, 30-year old Carlos Guerrero Villarreal, suffered stab wounds and was treated at Oregon Health & Science University. He reportedly underwent surgery and will survive the injuries.

Jose Rodriguez-Cano was arrested for second-degree Assault and for a Parole Violation. He has a pretrial court date set for October 11th, 2007.

JUST A PRIME EXAMPLE OF THOSE WHO COME FROM MEXICO OR DECENDANTS OF MEXICAN CITIZENZ WHO JUST WANT TO COME TO AMERICA TO WORK AND HAVE A BETTER LIFE, WHEN WILL AMERICA FONALLY SECURE THE BORDER, THIS CHAOS IS OUT OF CONTROLL AND I REALLY HOPE AND PRAY THAT WE CAN GET THIS ISSUE UNDER CONTROLL BEFORE ITS TO LATE.
