(MADRID) - The Foundation Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) has issued two campaigns with the slogans: "Syria, The Church will not abandon you" and "With your prayer peace is possible". Moreover, in the Arab Republic of Egypt Coptic Christians are killed by the Muslim Brotherhood, accusing them of being to blame for the ills of Egyptian society.. As a result of this persecution, many churches have decided not to organize worship services, and that the faithful do not attend catechism classes that were given on Sundays. The Holy Mass is being transmitted over the Internet for parishioners do not have to risk their lives praying in churches. In Upper Egypt, the liturgies end at seven o'clock and then the rest of the day the churches are closed. A few days ago, in the Church of the Virgin Mary, in the neighborhood of AlWarraq, a group of Islamic terrorists fired on those who were waiting for the couple who were getting married. Four Coptic Christians were killed, including the groom's mother and an eight year old girl. Other attacks that have terrorized Copts were held in a building owned by the Coptic Catholic Church of St. George in Delga, Minya, attacked by supporters of the Muslim Brotherhood who threw stones, opened fire and threw Molotov cocktails. The building was shattered. The Salafists, who are even more extreme than the Muslim Brotherhood, have taken advantage of the chaos to terrorize the Copts. Copts have also come under attack jihadists in Sinai. A Coptic priest was shot dead while walking in a public market in El-Arish, the Egyptian capital of North Sinai.
