(Clackamas, Oregon) - The following CCC student-athletes have been recognized as Red Lion Players of the Week November 22nd 2010

Men’s Basketball
Northwest University’s Greg Peters, a 6-8 senior forward from Belmont, St. Vincent, has been named the Red Lion Men’s Basketball Player of the Week. Peters posted a pair of double-doubles, his second and third of the year and 18th and 19th of his career, as the Eagles defeated University of Puget Sound and George Fox University. Peters had 17 points and 10 rebounds vs. UPS and 21 points and 22 rebounds in a victory over George Fox. His double-double vs. UPS came in just 17 minutes of action. Northwest improved to 4-1 on the season. Honorable mention: Jordan Carter, Corban; Miguel Rodriguez, College of Idaho; Jamar Johnson, Eastern Oregon; Dustin Hiebert, Concordia; Kellen Spicer, Northwest Christian; Joseph Foster, Oregon Tech; Kyle Tedder, Southern Oregon.

Women’s Basketball
Concordia University’s Danielle Clauson, a 5-10 senior forward from Edmonds, Wash., has been named the Red Lion Women’s Basketball Player of the Week. Clauson keyed CU to a 4-0 week by averaging 22.5 points and 8.5 rebounds, including a career-high 33-point effort vs. Pacific. She also had a double-double (18 points, 11 rebounds) vs. Willamette. Clauson also averaged 3.5 steals per game and shot 65 percent from the field. Concordia improved its record to 5-3. Honorable mention: Becky Buhler, Corban; Nicole Gall, College of Idaho; Jessalyn Jackson, Northwest; Nicole Redd, Eastern Oregon; Hope Williams, Northwest Christian.
