Israeli Defence Forces: Pillar Of Defense: Fourth Day of Fighting

Today, another long-range rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip towards Tel-Aviv.

(TEL AVIV) - The fourth day of Operation Pillar Of Defense is drawing to an end.

Since the beginning of the operation, over 500 rockets fired from Gaza hit Israeli towns.

Today, four rockets fired from Gaza struck the Israeli city of Ashdod.

Direct hits were registered on a house and a vehicle, while one rocket landed near a kindergarten and the other landed in an open area.

Today, another long-range rocket was fired from the Gaza Strip towards Tel-Aviv.

However, it was intercepted by a fifth Iron Dome battery which was deployed in the area today.

The Iron Dome missile defense system has successfully intercepted an overall of 240 rockets aimed at major Israeli population centers since the beginning of the operation.
