(SACRAMENTO, CA) - It is reported that in the last few minutes, Israeli warships started firing at Gaza.

Many feared that this would take place in the wake of the U.S. election and we are looking at what will likely be a repeat of 'Operation Cast Lead' which left more than 1400 dead including more than 400 children. Schools and hospitals were specifically targeted by Israel.

Leigh Tuohy wrote on Facebook today:

This is an all-out offensive on a besieged, stateless refugee population by a nuclear power, the fourth largest military power in the world, which has the backing of the US, the UK and the EU. But it is the military power, armed to the teeth, which will be presented as the victim by our media

From Hamas military chief killed in Israeli attack

A top Hamas commander and six others have been killed in a series of Israeli air strikes on the Gaza Strip, as Israel began an operation targeting armed groups.

Ahmad Jabari, the operational commander of Hamas's armed wing, the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, was killed on Wednesday alongside his bodyguard, Mohammed al-Hams, in an initial Israeli strike on a car in Gaza City which took place just before 4:00pm (14:00GMT), the Palestinian movement said.

Shortly afterwards, Israel pounded the Gaza Strip with another 20 air strikes, killing five more people, two of them children, Hamas health minister Mufid Mukhalalati said in a televised press conference at Gaza City's Shifa hospital.

He said another 30 people had been injured in the wave of strikes on targets across the territory which hit Gaza City, the northern town of Beit Lahiya and the southern city of Khan Yunis.

"The Israeli occupation has carried out more than 20 air strikes on targets and headquarters of the police and security in the Gaza Strip," interior ministry spokesman Islam Shahwan said.

The attacks on Wednesday marked the biggest escalation between Israel and Gaza fighters since the 2008-2009 conflict and came despite signs on Tuesday that neighbouring Egypt had managed to broker a truce in the territory after a five-day surge of violence.

Israel's military confirmed the operation, saying: "Jabari "was a senior Hamas operative... directly responsible for executing terror attacks against the State of Israel in the past number of years.

"The purpose of this operation was to severely impair the command and control chain of the Hamas leadership, as well as its terrorist infrastructure," it said in a statement.

The time has come for the world to cleanse itself of muslims and non-caucasians. Seriously, what is their benefit to the world? More importantly, to me?

DJ: And Caucasians, too? We're certainly headed in that direction.

I pray for Israel, to have the strength
To defeat the terrorists of Hamas. Hamas is the one who started shooting hundreds of Qassam rockets in to Israel. If you can't take the heat, stay out of the kitchen. Israel is just defending herself against the violence of these terrorists

Editor: Yeah and as a German  you would have prayed for the Nazi's but we can't change being an ignorant sponsor of hate and terror wrapped and presented as democracy.

More: bank of israel is hitting hard times because of their investment in Apple..when all else fails, israel just starts bombing. It was all going so well, first name terms with Obama and AAPL up 30% from where you bought it... a mere two months later and the Bank of Israel is now underwater on their AAPL shares and about to print bullets. We noted in early March what a ridiculous ponzi this was all becoming when the Bank of Israel announced its purchase of US equity positions including AAPL. In retrospect it is so gratifying to gloat at the self-confirming bias that enabled their reserve managers to buy on the way up as the stock that can do no wrong lifted all boats. Actually, it is easy to gloat in any 'spect'. We can only assume that Bernanke's Bat-phone is ringing off the hook this afternoon to 'get back to work' and come to the aid of his Bank of Israel mentor.
