(SAN JOSE, Calif. ) - EBay Inc. evacuated one building at its corporate headquarters Wednesday morning after mailroom employees received a suspicious package, a spokesman said.

The building, located on Hamilton Avenue in San Jose, California houses 200 employees and contains the mailroom for the online auction company

"One suspicious package was discovered. We immediately evacuated the mailroom," spokesman Hani Durzy told Reuters. "The building remains evacuated at this point," he said.

On a normal day, 2,500 employees work eBay's corporate campus, which is open at this hour.

The mailroom discovered the package just before 9:00 AM and called in a police bomb squad disposal unit.
