(LONDON) - We urge TKMaxx who claim to be an ethical high street retailer to take a look once more at its ethical and moral values when trading with Israel.

Israel a state which profits from the land it seized back in 1967 through its large scale ethnic cleansing and ongoing occupation in Palestine. We as customers deserve the right to buy products without a guilty conscious. Dead Sea products made by companies being boycotted are labelled “ made in Israel” most are likely sourced directly or indirectly through illegal Israeli colonies on Palestinian land.

The products in question are Spa Original and Ultimate Spa Dead sea mineral cosmetics which are readily available on TKMaxx Shelves.

We sent a series of emails to TKMaxx to which we received no satisfactory answer. We now want to put pressure on TKMaxx with help from its customers. If you also feel disappointed that these products are on sale in T.K.Maxx stores then please feel free to email too at: customerservice@tjxeurope.com

We invite TK-MAXX to follow the likes of John Lewis who stopped stocking DeadSea Spa Products.

This is where we need YOUR help the aim of the petition is to apply pressure to either stop TKMaxx trading with Israel a country which oppresses and occupies on the grounds of ethnicity through the use of Apartheid practices.

Here are some of the international laws that forbid any occupying force to colonize and/or use natural resources of the occupied people and lands.

Israeli authorities are denying Palestinians access to the Dead Sea, although it is located in West Bank Palestinian territory which is against the Fourth Geneva Convention not to forget its violation of international law under the Fourth Geneva Convention in regards to illegal Israeli only settlements in the Jordon valley and all over the West Bank (Palestinian territory)

The Occupying Power shall not deport or transfer parts of its own civilian population into the territory it occupies.

Is this something that sits comfortably with the ethical & moral ethos of T.J/T.K.Maxx trading standards when trading with an Apartheid state such as Israel?

In order for Israel to extract the dead sea minerals even though it says ingredients sourced through "the 1967 borders only" as this particular company has mentioned, is highly unlikely as Israel has to pump water from the North of the dead sea which is clearly within the Palestinian territory

Israeli authorities are denying Palestinians living in the vicinity of the Dead Sea access to fresh water. Israel controls and exploits the water in the Jordan Rift Valley. Already, Israeli settlers in the Jordan Valley consume far more water per capita than the Palestinians living in the West Bank, and their daily household consumption is three times that of families living inside Israel itself. Some Palestinian communities in the Jordan Valley consume less than 40 per cent of the minimum level recommended by the World Health Organization. Refusing to buy Dead Sea products is an appropriate way to signal a company's disagreement with Israel’s water policies.

It is clear there is a high level of disparity when it comes to Israel providing vital water supplies to Palestinians compared to its illegal Israeli colonies in the West Bank, Does this meet the trading criteria of such an ethical & Moral high street retailer like T.J/T.K.Maxx when it comes to trading with an occupational force such as Israel?

Dead Sea product manufacturing promotes the occupation and illegal colonization of Palestinian territory by bolstering Israel’s illegal colonies and the Israeli economy in general; the manufacturing of Dead Sea products provides an incentive for Israel to continue occupying and illegally colonizing Palestinian territory.

By selling Israeli products Tkmaxx will in no doubt be helping to keep the occupation of Palestine going and quite possibly could also be helping to fund illegal settlements in the West Bank.

Please help us by sharing/signing this petition to apply pressure on TKMaxx to look further into the moral and ethical aspects of selling such products we demand a full investigation into this matter not just to be ignored this is our right as customers and this is our right for humanity.
