Sue Quick Named Interim Director of Operations for Cherriots

(SALEM, Ore.) - Association's Transit General Manager Allan Pollock has announced the appointment of Sue Quick as acting Director of Operations effective October 29, 2010. Sue is currently serving as the Fixed Route Operations Manager and will continue to maintain those responsibilities during this temporary appointment.

She replaces Mike Hansen, who recently retired after 31 years of service to the transit district. He worked as a bus operator, operations supervisor, and Director of Operations during his tenure with Cherriots.

Sue Quick joined Cherriots in January of 2010. Previously she served as Transit Services Manager for Lane Transit District in Eugene. She started her career as a bus operator. She is a standing member of the Bus Safety and Bus Operator Distraction working group for APTA and the Washington State Transit Association's Operations group. She has a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration. She was awarded the Dan Reichard Scholarship in conjunction with the American Public Transportation Foundation.
