Salem Police Seek Public's Help in Identifying Robbery Suspect

Detectives are using surveillance photos taken during the robbery in hopes of identifying the suspect.

(SALEM) - Salem Police Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying a man involved in a Robbery of the "Safeway" Store, 3285 Commercial St. SE, Salem which occurred at 7:50 PM Friday, Oct. 27th.

The suspect entered the store and approached the Customer Service Desk where he said he was armed with a gun. No gun was seen. The suspect then fled on foot with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as a white male adult, 40-50 yrs of age, Five-foot nine-inches, thin build, brown hair that is greying, and unshaven. Last seen wearing blue jeans, a red & brown flannel shirt and a dark colored baseball cap with a red bill.

Salem Police Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect from surveillance photo's taken during the robbery. Anyone with information concerning this case are asked to call Detective Burke, Salem Police, at 503-588-6050 x7163.
