Nov-01-2012 03:09TweetFollow @OregonNews Myanmar: Rohingya Genocide Witness Blames People, Not BuddhismTim King Salem-News.com"My friend told me they used very dirty propaganda to kill Muslims and also reward, otherwise how can a real Buddhist kill a human mercilessly, it is impossible."
(SACRAMENTO, CA) - News that parties in Burma are paying rewards for dead Rohingya Muslims sent a shiver down the backs of many people using Twitter today. Yet information emerging from a person on the ground in Burma, paints a different picture of the root of the problem. With the intermittent help of police and soldiers, Rakhine Buddhist monks are targeting people over religious differences in Burma, in a situation that one doctor associated with Physicians for Human Rights, Dr. Nora Rowley, says it "is ethnic cleansing rapidly looking like Bosnia". While it is easy to assume that age old religious differences are at the root of this epic problem, a contact in Northern Rakhine says that is not the case. "I don't hate Rakhine and I don't think all Rakhine are our enemies," this witness said, reminding us that until very recently, people in Burma, or Myanmar as it is now know, lived together without this unprecedented level of animosity and violence. The witness says as violence started in 8th June, his friend who was also a Rakhine Buddhist assisted him a great deal; this witness grew up in a monastery. The news of paying rewards for dead Rohingya people, who the United Nations dubbed, "one of the world's most persecuted minorities", was at first hard to believe. "I heard that news about reward of killing since June but I didn't believe and I didn't tell any one about it, when I met my Buddhist friend on Tuesday, actually he came to me secretly and we had a discussion an hour, I blamed Buddhism but he told me in detail who involve in these massacre." The organization and people named in connection to the rewards for dead Rohingya, are:
These people are all from Rakhine and there are also some people in Upper Myanmar, like Than Shwe of Yangon, Wirathu, monk of Mandalay, General Khine Nyuint who formed NaSaKa (Myanmar border security forces) for Rohingya persecution. According to our witness, wealthy Rakhines like Kyaunk Taung and Aung naing Win let Rakhine politicians announced that reward, they provided the reward money. "My friend told me they used very dirty propaganda to kill Muslims and also reward, otherwise how can a real Buddhist kill a human mercilessly, it is impossible." The witness says this is why they formed the Rakhine Congress - to do their jobs systematically. BackgroundFrom what we know, this is a 'bounty' style murder solicitation similar to what used to take place in the United States for escaped convicts, slaves and Native Americans. Only they aren't asking for Rohingyas to be brought in dead or alive, only dead. Rohingyas find themselves in the place of the Jews of Europe; the Cambodians under Pol Pot; and the Tamils of Sri Lanka who were killed like animals with no sparing of children and no lack of odoriferous sexual debauchery. Many sinister allegations are contained within the various tweets associated with this latest development.
Muslims have lived in Burma since the 7th Century. Even in the early 1800's western explorers noted the large Muslim populations. That was a point in time when the people of Burma lived in relative peace. The Rakhine Buddhists are keen on trashing the name 'Buddhist' as their murderous ways are reaching more and more people in the world who are shocked and horrified to learn that this religion known for peace has members who are violent in almost unprecedented ways. In Berlin, Germans were moved to deadly action by a mad man. In Cambodia it was the disintegration of society. in Burma with the Rakhine Buddhists, no such ingredient is required.
