Chemeketa Community College Hosts 28th Annual College and Career Night

(SALEM, Ore.) - Salem - Keizer students will have an opportunity to attend a free college and career fair at Chemeketa Community College. For over 25 years, the College/Career Fair has been an annual tradition and attracts over 800 career bound students.

In 2009, 64 colleges and universities from across the nation participated in the event and this year participation is expected to greater. In addition, trade schools and apprenticeship information will be available from such companies as Bonneville Power Administration and Portland General Electric.

Salem Keizer school districts and Chemeketa Community College will offer door prizes for elementary, middle school and high school students. Currently enrolled seniors will have a chance to win a $500 scholarship for college tuition.

The College/Career Fair is November 15 from 6 pm – 8 pm at Chemeketa Community College, 4000 Lancaster Drive NE in Building 7. This is a free event with free parking.
