Valley's Largest Business Trade Show One Week Away

It happens at the Oregon State Fair & Expo Center - Jackman Long Building, 2330 17th Street NE in Salem.

(SALEM) - Organizers of the valley's largest business trade show, Show-Biz 2006, say the one-day show features over 200 exhibitors in a festive and decorated atmosphere in the Oregon State Fair and Expo Center's Jackman Long Building.

Now in it's eleventh year, the show continues to gain popularity, nearly 6,000 people attended the show in 2005.

Retail exhibitors in the show include; home and office furniture, appliances, housewares, and grocery. Industries represented include communications and computer technology; finance and insurance; senior and assisted living; health and beauty; medical; tourism and travel; recreation; hospitality; manufacturing; and profit and non-profit organizations.

Show Biz is organized and presented by the Salem Area chamber of Commerce. Admission to the event is $2 per person, 12 and under are free. Parking is provided at no cost. Downloadable 2-for-1 admission coupons are available at www.salemchamber.org or www.showbiztradeshow.com. Complimentary childcare will be available. Landscape displays will be provided by Cascade Landscape Management and DeSantis Landscapes, Inc.

Area restaurants and caterers will have food and beverage samples. Many vendors will offer promotional giveaways, demonstrations, show specials and door prizes. Four days and three nights for two in Mexico is the grand door prize, some restrictions apply and you must be 18 years or older to enter.
