Albany Man Arrested on 14 Sex Crime Charges

Police say the victims were allegedly abused over the course of two years.

(ALBANY, Ore. ) - An Albany man faces 14 sex crime charges after he allegedly raped and abused two young kids.

35-year-old Steven Truchon is being held in the Linn County Jail on two counts of first-degree rape, four counts of first-degree sex abuse, four counts of first-degree sodomy, two counts of first-degree unlawful sexual penetration and two counts of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct.

Albany police say they were called Wednesday to an Albany apartment complex on a tip that two victims, a male under the age of 15, and a female under the age of 12, had been abused over the past two years by Truchon who knew the two victims.

If convicted, Truchon faces up to 25-years in state prison.

His bail is set a $500,000.
