Cartoon Strip: Nota Bene by Leonardo No. 96 - Aid & Comfort to the EnemyGlen Bledsoe Salem-News.comThis is the ninety-sixth installment of the Salem-News.com original series "Nota Bene by Leonardo" by Salem cartoonist Glen Bledsoe.
(Earth-Gleich-Selbst) - It has been characteristic of the numerous iterations of George Bush across the universes in parallel to make statements and move the nation without full reflection on the consequences. He beat the drum for the invasion of Iraq with the notion that Sadam Hussein possessed weapons of mass destruction. He could hardly have believed this statement since his evidence had long been debunked as anyone knew who read independent news outlets even superficially. Yet Bush went ahead without thinking what would happen when the public eventually found out there were no WMDs. In this same spirit Bush has resurrected the ghosts of those before WWII who would have tried to negotiate with Hitler. Recent statements of the President compared them to those who would negotiate with the enemies of America today. Mr. Bush, however, does this without thinking of his own family ties to the Third Reich. Frame 1 | Frame 2 | Frame 3 | Frame 4 Related Nota bene |
