Dave or any other doubting wooden head: The US Global Change Research Program (begun under the Bush Administration) has released a report. Read it here; http://www.usgcrp.gov/usgcrp/default.php It confirms that global warming is real and already having an effect in the United States.

"Wooden Heads?" Is that what you call the over six hundred climate experts who were apart of the Latest UN meeting on global warming, who said their was no evidence of man made global warming. Are the "Wooden Heads" the ones who believe that the sun has more to do with the warming of the earth, than does CO2. I've read many science books over the years, physics being my main hobbly, though I'm no scientist. I would like to know what concrete evidence you have for "man-made" global warming. There is a lot of evidence for the natural warming and cooling of the Earth. What is lacking is evidence that change all the incandescent light bulbs too mercury laden florescent ones will make any difference at all. Where is the evidence that show irrefutably that the emissions, while unhealthy, of cars is causing global warming. Mt. St. Helens blew more pollutants into the air than man has since the beginning of the industrial revolution to 2005 (when I first read about it, I'm sure we still haven't caught up yet). The true "wooden heads" are the proponents of the Al Gore type global warming (by the way, Al Gore used manipulated information in his movie; or didn't you pay attention to the UK court case?).

  Thanks for the courage and sensible sensitivities to take on this "wooden-headed" cabal of anti-science simpletons.
  But better watch your back at next church service, since same attitude drives them as demonstrated in doctor-slaying now in news.
  We suffer exceedingly in our tattered democracy from base attitude (both meanings !)the group displays, with their revealing words displayed in S-N dialog columns everyday, easily detected by dependence on personal declaration vs any significant documentation from national recognized sources, now easily accessed, where they DO exist, via very same computer used for Comment.

Like global warming, swine flu and everything else wrong in the world, racist, sexist and homophobe, Rush Limbaugh is largely responsible for who I am today. In 1993, I had a great job as Art Dept. supervisor at an ABC affiliate TV station in Baltimore. The same station where Oprah was co-host on our morning show, years earlier. While minding my own business, my favorite radio talk show host was replaced with Rush Limbaugh. I thought, “Who is this wise guy?” A week later, I was hooked. Unapologetic, Rush courageously and boldly said everything I felt. Rush became my HERO! At that time, middle aged folks were being let go because of company down-sizings. The ever optimistic Rush, encouraged folks to view their termination as a opportunity to pursue their dreams. HR had just awarded me my 15 years of service “gold pin”. I had 15 more years to go to retire. Inspired by Rush, I told my wonderful wife, I wanted to quit my job to pursue a music career full time. My amazing wife said, “Let's go for it!” We were broke for the next 15 years. Five years ago, we were homeless. However, as weird as this may sound, we are grateful for our incredible journey. We grew from whiny kids, to grateful adults. We learned to trust God for EVERYTHING! Today, we are living our dreams. Awesome! None of this would have happened had I not been inspired and encouraged to believe in myself and the greatness of America by Rush Limbaugh. Something else I truly admire about Rush is his courage to stand up for what he believes. Case in point. When his fans tried to pressure Rush into supporting Ross Perot, Rush said, “There's something not right about this guy”. Rush was right. Folks, Rush especially, but you can include Hannity and Beck, are getting pretty beat up by the media, dems and even republicans. It is extremely critical that we stand by these guys. We need these brave patriot generals, if we are to win this battle against secular progressives and America hating leftists who seek to remake America in their own vile image. Then not to worry, for you are wrong about global warming. You can relax and maybe dream of those good old days when you were at band camp. If you learn how to go to actual real websites that have been constructed by scientists who dismiss global warming or any other climate change as man caused, maybe then you'll start to develop some critical thinking skills? Maybe.
