(SALEM) - The Oregon Department of Veterans' Affairs has received information about more than 40 Memorial Day weekend ceremonies and events which will occur throughout the state from May 27th-29th. The list includes: Bandon, May 27th, 10:00 - The Blessing of the Fleet ceremony at the mouth of the Coquille River at the South Jetty. 11:00 AM, Flag Parade through the city to the Bandon VFW cemetery, located off of 2nd Street above the city. Beaverton, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Ceremony at Memorial Park, located between Watson and Washington Avenues on Seventh Street. Buck Hollow, May 29th, 10:00 AM “ A ceremony at the cemetery on Buck Hollow Road. Coos Bay, May 27th, 11:00 AM - Parade begins on 4th Avenue. 1:00 PM, A memorial wreath laying ceremony begins in Marshfield Pioneer Cemetery, near Marshfield High School at 10th and Ingersoll. Corvallis, May 29th, 2:00 PM - A ceremony to honor servicemembers who have returned from Iraq and Afghanistan at the Veterans Memorial, 1100 NW Kings Blvd. Dallas, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Ceremony at Pioneer Cemetery, 2065 SW Fairview Avenue. Depoe Bay, May 29th, 11:00 AM - The 61st Annual Fleet of Flowers memorial will depart from the Harbor following a brief bay front ceremony. Eagle Point, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Ceremony at Eagle Point National Cemetery, located 14 miles northeast of Medford and one mile east of Eagle Point, 2763 Riley Road. Eugene, May 29th, 1:30 PM - Ceremony dedicated to servicemembers who have recently lost their lives and to their families will be held at Westlawn Cemetery, 225 S. Danebo Ave. Forest Grove, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Ceremony at Forest View Cemetery, 1161 Pacific Avenue. Grand Ronde, May 29th, 8:00 AM - Ceremony will be held at Grand Ronde Cemetery on Grand Ronde Road. 3:00 PM - Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial, on Grande Ronde Road. Grants Pass, May 27th, 10:00 AM - Annual Boatnik Parade, downtown will begin at “C' and 6th Street. May 29th, 11:00 AM “ A ceremony at Hillcrest Memorial Park, 945 NE Hillcrest Drive. Hillsboro, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Ceremony at Fir Lawn Memorial Park, 1070 W. Main Street. 11:00 AM “ Valley Memorial Cemetery, 3809 SE Tualatin Valley Highway, will host a ceremony. Hood River, May 29th, 10:00 AM - A ceremony at Idlewild Cemetery, located 2 miles south of downtown on Tucker Road. Madras, May 29th, All day - The Avenue of the Flags will be in place at Mt. Jefferson Memorial Park Cemetery on Loucks Road. McMinnville, May 27th, 12:00 AM - A Memorial Day Weekend presentation at the Evergreen Aviation Museum by B-17 Pilot Russell Barney. May 29th “ The Museum, at 500 NE Captain Michael King Smith Way on Highway 18, will have speaker presentations, cockpit viewings, a B-17 walk-through. Mt. Angel, May 29th, 9:30 AM - Old-fashioned Memorial Day service at Calvary Cemetery, one-quarter mile north of town on Highway 214. Newberg, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Ceremony in Memorial Park on South Blaine St. BBQ lunch will be served; donations will be accepted. Nyssa, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Services at the Hilltop Cemetery. 11:30 a.m. “ Services at the city park boat ramp on the Snake River. Ontario, May 29th, 10:00 AM - Services at the Evergreen Cemetery, on South Park Blvd. 10:30 AM - Services at the Sunset Cemetery, on Sunset Drive, two blocks south of 4th. 11:00 AM - Services at Meadowbrook Assisted Living facility, 1372 SW 8th Ave. Portland, May 27th, 10:00 AM - Services at Skyline Memorial Park, 4101 NW Skyline Blvd, will highlight the military service of Native Americans and military chaplains. May 29th, 12:00 AM - The Oregon Vietnam Veterans Living Memorial will host its annual service in Washington Park across from the Metro Park Zoo, 400 SW Canyon Road. Prineville, May 29th, 10:30 AM - Parade from the Crook County ourthouse to Ochoco Creek Park and the POW/MIA Monument. Following a short program, an Open House at the Vet's Club, 405 North Main Street. Rogue River, May 30th, 11:00 AM - Flag-raising, ceremonies at the Woodville Cemetery on Wards Creek Road. Roseburg, May 29th, 11:00 AM “ Ceremonies at the Roseburg National Cemetery, 913 Garden Valley Blvd. Salem, May 29th, 11:00 AM - The 26th annual Memorial Day program at City View Cemetery, 390 Hoyt Street South. Sheridan, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Ceremony at a cemetery located near Highway 18 in Sheridan. Sisters, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Ceremony at Village Green City Park, 421 South Fir. Springfield, May 29th, 10:15 AM - Ceremony at Springfield Memorial Gardens, 7305 Main Street. The Dalles, May 29th, 2:00 PM - At the Oregon Veterans' Home, 700 Veterans' Drive. Vale, May 29th, 11:00 AM - Memorial services at the Valley View and Pioneer Cemeteries, 1699 Valley View Road. The Gov's presenting a Bataan Death March survivor with two medals on May 30th at 1 p.m., in the ceremonial office. Omar McGuire, 85, is a real delightful man considering what happened 60 yars ago.
