(CLACKAMAS, Ore.) - A Happy Valley man is in custody over allegations of the sexual abuse of a five-year old child. Jim Strovink with the Clackamas Sheriff's Office says the investigation began in February, 2008 That is when members of the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office, Child Abuse Team (CAT) responded to an address in Happy Valley, over a report concerning a 5-year old child who was disclosing information about alleged sexual abuse. Strovink says the Child Abuse Team investigation has resulted in a criminal indictment and arrest warrant issued on May 15th, for the arrest of 47-year old Douglas Alfred Feller of Happy Valley, Oregon. Investigators report Douglas Alfred Feller was a long time friend of the victim's family and well acquainted with the 5-year old reported victim in this case. Early this morning, May 22, 2008, Douglas Alfred Feller, voluntarily surrendered himself to Clackamas County Sheriff's authorities at the Clackamas County Jail. Douglas Feller has been lodged into the Clackamas County Jail on several charges. He faces three counts of first-degree Sodomy, one count of first-degree Sexual Penetration and seven counts of first-degree Sexual Abuse. Hit total bail was set at $250,000. Feller was arraigned Thursday in the Clackamas County Circuit Court, in Oregon City, Oregon. It should be noted in this story and all others like it, that the person who has been arrested has not been convicted of anything. This type of charge is very difficult for a family in any community and everyone is cautioned to remember that until a court or jury convicts a person, they are considered innocent. There are cases of this nature that ultimately, do not result in a conviction. Articles for May 22, 2008 | Articles for May 23, 2008 | Articles for May 24, 2008 | Quick Links

He's been molesting people for years. I don't think he realizes how much pain he has caused.

I would like to know how this "alleged" sex offender is living 2 blocks from an elementary school?
