Two Vehicle Crash Sends Four to the Hospital

No word yet if drugs or alcohol played a role in the crash.

(TURNER, Ore. ) - The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a crash that sent four people to the hospital, including a 3-year-old child.

At approximately 2:40 PM on Thursday, the Marion County Sheriff's Office responded to a report of a two vehicle crash at 9616 Marion RD. SE.

Although the investigation is continuing, it appears a 1986 Chevrolet Celebrity, driven by 25-year-old Malinda Haskins collided with a 2000 Toyota Tacoma Pickup driven by 21-year-old Paul Bender.

A 3-year-old occupant of the Celebrity was transported to Salem Hospital then life flighted to OHSU.

Another occupant and the driver of the Celebrity were transported to Salem Hospital.

The driver was treated and released from the hospital, the other passenger was admitted into the hospital.

Latest update on the child passenger is that she is in stable condition.

The investigation is being conducted by Marion County CRASH team.
