Suspect Sought in Taco Time Armed RobberySalem-News.comNone of the employees were injured by the gunman.
(VENETA, Ore. ) - The Lane County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect who robbed the Veneta, Oregon Taco Time Wednesday night at gunpoint. At approximately 9:09 PM, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office received a call from an employee of the Veneta Taco Time advising that while attempting to close the business the above listed suspect male made entry and removed the money from the cash register. An employee came to the counter after hearing the till open and was challenged by a man holding a black handgun. The suspect ordered the employee to the back of the store where the dishwasher observed what was occurring. The dishwasher challenged the suspect and chased him from the business. The suspect fled westbound through the parking lot. Deputies searched the area and contacted local businesses for possible suspect information with negative results. The suspect is described as White male, 6’0 tall, approximately 150-185 lbs, possibly early 20’s, ball cap, blond hair, grey hooded sweatshirt, light colored blue or black denim pants with a blue bandanna over the face carrying a black handgun.
