Girl Identified Who Drowned in Woodburn Pool

(WOODBURN) - Woodburn police have identified the girl who apparently drowned on Friday in a city pool.

8-year-old Griselda Jalicia-Sixto, who was a second grader at Heritage Elementary School.

Police say the girl was taking part in an after school activity at the Woodburn Aquatics Center when the tragedy occurred.

Lifeguards were on duty when she was found in the pool.

She was taken to Silverton Hospital, were she was pronounced dead.
