Mannix Pulls All Comparative TV Ads

Mannix picks up key endorsement from statewide veterans’ group.

(LAKE OSWEGO) - Kevin Mannix announced Friday that he will pull all comparative TV ads in the final days of the primary election declaring he is staying strictly optimistic with his message.

"I feel Oregon voters need to hear a clear communication of what I can accomplish for the future of this state. Therefore I am pulling all comparative spots for the remainder of my campaign and focusing on our positive message."

Mannix announced that for the next five days, all ads running on TV will focus on his track record for reform and his positive vision for Oregon.

"Given the current projections for a low voter turn out, it's important that Oregonians cast a ballot and make sure their voices are heard," said Mannix. "When I heard Ron Saxton's personal attacks on an 80-year old man, I knew it was time to lead by example in an effort to change the tone of the campaign."

Precinct walks are scheduled for the Mannix campaign throughout the weekend with teams of volunteers joining the candidate going door to door and reporters are encouraged to tag along.

The Mannix campaign picked up a last minute boost from the Oregon War Veterans Association (OWVA) which released an official endorsement Friday as well.

The Association's priority during this next four years is to articulate the needs of veterans, military service members and their families in such a way that will gain support from all Oregonians.

"OWVA believes that he will hear our needs and will work to help articulate veterans' issues to all Oregonian," explained Greg Warnock head of the veterans' group.
