(SALEM) - The city of Salem is no stranger to flooding, and residents particularly along the city's rivers, creeks and streams are taking precautionary measures to prevent damage from accumulated high waters.

All Salem Urban streams remain remain below their action levels. Willamette River reached action level overnight but all roads remain open.

Mike Gotterba with Salem Public Works, says city crews are working today to clean critical culverts and grates.

He reminds residents that sand and sandbags are available at Shops complex.
