Man Pleads Guilty in Woodburn Stabbing Incident

Juan Torres-Santizo was sentenced to 8 months in jail with post prison supervision of 36 months.

(SALEM) - Juan Torres-Santizo pled guilty to Attempted Assault in the Second Degree yesterday, March 25, 2014, before Judge Dale W. Penn in Marion County Circuit Court.

The charge arose out of a fight at an apartment complex located at 1590 James Street, Woodburn, Oregon on August 4, 2014.

Although the defendant attempted to stab Antonio Segundo, the victim was unharmed.

Juan Torres-Santizo was sentenced to 8 months in jail with post prison supervision of 36 months.

He is currently being held in custody as a material witness in a companion case against Mateo Torres-Morales.

Torres-Morales is charged with Murder for the stabbing death of Pedro Bravo-Luna during the same incident.

The case against Torres-Morales is currently set for trial before Judge Dennis J. Graves on November 12, 2014.
