35 Teens Cited for Underage Drinking at Woodburn Party

(WOODBURN, Ore. ) - Police in Woodburn, say they cited 35 minors for underage drinking Friday night as well as an adult who provided the alcohol.

It happened after officers received several reports of a loud party that was in progress.

Police say that when they arrived at the home on Harrison Street, some of the estimated 40 to 60 juveniles were reported to have fled.

35 other juveniles, between the ages of 14 and 18, were cited for minor in possession of alcohol after a breathalyzer tests showed alcohol use. They were later released to their parents.

The homeowner, 37-year-old Maria Alonso Esquivel, also was charged when police intercepted the party. She was charged with furnishing to minors.
