(CARLTON) - The alleged driver in a fatal crash March 17th in Yamhill County turned himself in to authorities on Wednesday. Yamhill County Sheriff Jack Crabtree said that, 18-year-old Johnathon David Bogosian, of McMinnville surrendered without incident to Yamhill County Sheriff`s Deputies in Carlton after a series of telephone negotiations with Hillsboro Attorney, David M. Audet. Bogosian is lodged in the Yamhill County Juvenile Detention Facility on Felony Charges of Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Felony Failure to Perform the Duties to an Injured Person. There is no bail for a Juvenile matter and he will be scheduled for further proceedings in Juvenile Court. Bogosian is the alleged driver of the 1976 Chevy Blazer that was discovered at or about 7:00 AM the morning of March 17th, in the 18000 block of NW Old Railroad Grade Road. The crash scene was located approximately 4 miles NW of the City of Yamhill. Based upon the investigation, it appears that a 1976 Chevy Blazer, traveling SE on NW Turner Creek Road, lost control and struck a tree killing a passenger of the vehicle upon impact. The deceased was identified as 16-year-old Jack Aaron Coble of Gaston. The investigation into this case continues by Yamhill County Sheriff`s Detectives along with the Yamhill County Multi Agency Traffic Team, Yamhill County Sheriff`s Detective Division, Yamhill County Sheriff`s Office, Yamhill Fire and Rescue, Washington County Sheriff`s Office, McMinnville Police Department, Oregon State Police, Carlton Police Department, and the Yamhill County District Attorney. Johnny is my cousin, and although this is a sad situation...John is not a killer and jack was a good friend of his. And I know John is extremly torn to pieces over this matter. But accidents do happen...and that doesn't make John a murderer!
