(KEIZER, Ore.) - Keizer Police responded to a report of a gunshot victim at 1144 Dearborn Avenue NE in Keizer March 15th shortly before 11:00 p.m. Captain Jeff Kuhns with Keizer police says that upon arrival at the residence, police found an adult male victim with a non life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim has been identified as 21-year old Miguel A. Rodriguez, who resides at this residence. He was treated for the gunshot injury and was subsequently released from the Salem Hospital. No information about the number of shots fired or the type of firearm believed to have been used is being released. Kuhns say the Keizer Police Department continues to investigate this incident at this time. "The incident is being investigated as an attempted murder. Additional criminal charges could be applicable should the suspect be identified and arrested." He says the suspect is described as a white male adult who is approximately six feet tall and weighs approximately 180 to 200 pounds. He was described as wearing all dark clothing and he had a black ski mask covering his face. "The location of this incident, 1144 Dearborn Avenue NE, has been secured by the Keizer Police Department since the incident occurred on Sunday evening," Kuhns said. Tuesday at about 11:00 a.m., a search warrant was served at this location and the investigaiton is continuing. Kuhns said, "The Keizer Police Department believes this incident was an act of targeted violence. The general public is not thought to be at risk." No other details are being released at this time.
