(SALEM, Ore.) - A man wanted for a 2001 murder was recently seen in the Salem area.

Salem police say Jose Rosendo Carrillo-Padilla was spotted on February 22 near Lancaster Dr NE and Sunnyview Rd NE in a red car and may have been with a heavy set white female in her 40's with "poofy" blonde hair.

Carrillo-Padilla has been on the Salem police department's most wanted list since 2001, and is wanted in connection with the shooting death of Miguel Ochoa-Ochoa in September of 2001.

Police say Carrillo-Padilla should be considered armed and dangerous. If you see him call 911 immediately.

Anybody with information as to the exact location of Carrillo-Padilla is urged to call Salem Police Detective Mark Remily at 503-588-6050, extension 7152.
