Salem Homes Spray-Painted With ELF Slogans

The group has taken responsibility for many acts of eco-sabotage throughout the United States.

(SALEM) - Salem Police are investigating vandalism at three homes under construction in southeast Salem that may or may NOT be the work of the ELF, or Earth Liberation Front.

Investigators say the three homes, located in the Creekside neighborhood, were spray-painted Saturday night with slogans that read: "ELF", "Rent is theft", "Don`t kill my air", and "Quit building ant farms".

Vandals also broke out a window at one of the properties police said.

The developer says he plans to hire security guards to watch the area.

Salem police say they will be forwarding their reports to the FBI.
