Boyfriend Arrested for Salem Toddler's Death

(SALEM, Ore. ) - Salem Police Detectives are currently investigating the death of a 2-year-old female toddler.

The victim, 2-year-old Natalia Lee, was taken to Salem Hospital late in the evening on March 8 and died shortly after midnight on March 9.

An immediate investigation by Salem Police Detectives led to the arrest of 22-year old Russell Ros on charges of Murder, Sexual Abuse I and three counts of Criminal Mistreatment in the First Degree. The incident allegedly occurred at 3895 Beverly St NE, #25 in Salem.

Ros is the boyfriend of the victim's mother and was watching the victim while her mother was out of town. The three criminal mistreatment charges stem from past incidents where Natalia's older brother was allegedly assaulted by the suspect as well. That child was placed into protective custody during the investigation.

The investigation is continuing, and anybody with information on this case is urged to contact Salem Police Detective Kris Knox at 503-588-6050.

I can not believe someone could ever harm a child in anyway. Nor could sit in a court room with such a smug face after the heinous acts he has commited. I have children and WOULD never ever leave my children with anyone that had put their hands on them. She is to blame for putting such responsiblity into a monsterous person such as russell ros. She knew what he was capable of doing and still gave full access of her children to this monster. He has hurt this community with such disgusting acts of violence and hate. I hope and pray that the little boy that had to watch and hear everything that happened that night is safe and being well taken care of because he is the only one we should be worried about at this point. The little angel that was harmed is safe now, but the little boy that was there through all the abuse that happened that night is scared for life. I hope his future is not doomed.

Mandy i am sorry that you lost her, but it was just as much your fault as it was his, after the crap that you went through with jin getting smack around, you still left the state leaving the bf in charge, even if you think he wouldnt have killed. i know as a mom you had a shadow of a doubt he wasnt the best person for the job, you could have had so many other choice i wasnt really friends with you but we knew eachother and i know you and how you had lots of friends and family.. but i do want to say.. i am sorry for what happen.. and to be more responsible. if you cant find someone that you trust with the kids lives then dont leave them.. anytime you go outa state take them with you or dont go, find another job.. even if it is flipping burgers and making min wage.. as least you know they are safe... i have kids now and i dont trust anyone not most my family and about non of my friends.. and they are friends i have had since i was in 2nd grade..
