Police Seaching for Man who Tried to Abduct Silverton Teen

The man was described as white, 30 to 40 years of age, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds with a heavy build.

(SILVERTON, Ore. ) - Residents of Silverton are being asked to help police locate a man who allegedly tried to abduct a middle school student while she was walking home from school.

Police say the 13-year-old was on her way home from Mark Twain Middle School on Thursday when she saw a car following her slowly.

She told officers, that a man got out of the car, grabbed her, and pushed her against the vehicle.

The girl said she kicked her attacker, and was able to get away, and run back to the school for help.

The teen described the man to police as white, 30 to 40 years of age, about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds with a heavy build.

He was reportedly seen driving a rusty orange or gold four-door car with a rounded front end.

Way to go girl! You did the right thing! NEVER let anyone intimidate you into a vehicle or situation like that. It's OK to be scared, but you must not go quietly! This young girl was smart. Scream, kick, claw, punch, gouge an eye out. Whatever it takes. Most pedophiles/sexual deviants are cowards and will run the moment a victim aggressively fights back! You may only get one chance to save your life, take it!
