The 700 Club is Full of CrapPolitical Perspective by Tim King Salem-News.com
One Christian group calls them a "woeful group of clairvoyant con-artists".
(SACRAMENTO, CA) - One of the saddest examples of misused Christianity is called the 700 Club. It happened to be on tonight before I could change the channel, and the wrinkly old man hosting the show began by stating that the White House declared that on this day, millions would die, homeless people would take over the streets....and on and on.
Exaggeration leads to exasperation, it's a low grade art form designed to suck money out of the wallets of a low brow audience that lacks the ability to think for itself. The audience is not comprised of people, they are sheep.
Pat Robertson ends by stating that the mandated cuts are just fine. This is the moron who claimed that God was trying to hurt the people of Haiti intentionally when they suffered a horrible earthquake.
His little opening rant about "White House claims" is about the recent vote in Congress. Commenting on the Republican-led action, Obama said this week in a news statement:
"... instead of closing a single tax loophole that benefits the well-off and well-connected, they chose to cut vital services for children, seniors, our men and women in uniform and their families. They voted to let the entire burden of deficit reduction fall squarely on the middle class."
The 700 Club, it is an anti-American show, a liar fest, and I hope the followers of this bullshit program are the first to feel the heat when it does come down. Poor people need our help and sympathy and this group does not represent the American public, only a sad little handful of misguided people.
They are anti-gay, anti-poor, anti-liberal (which means they are anti-Christ) and they clearly hate the U.S. President and while Obama leaves much for debate, the criticism they have of him boils down to the fact that he is trying to get the rich to pay their share, and Robertson doesn't like it.
The 700 Club people and Jesus have nothing in common. They only use the image of Christ to help preserve the tax status of the richest Americans, they are as Christian as the Taliban is Muslim, anyone who believes these groups follow the teachings of a divine leader are as stupid as that nasty little turd called Pat Robertson.
These are the people who have rewritten the Bible and rewired the brains of their clueless followers by claiming that God says "thou shalt not Murder' instead of 'Thou Shalt Not Kill'. God didn't delineate. Jesus said turn the other cheek and love your enemy. Anyone who says Christ didn't is another liar, not a stupid one either, they are convincing Christians that military violence and police violence is OK. It isn't.
The 700 Club is Full of Shit.

At the center of all of this, Tim pays extremely close attention to the safety and welfare of journalists worldwide.
