(SALEM, Ore.) - Marion County Sheriff's deputies are investigating a shooting that occurred over the weekend. Witnesses say shots rang out early Sunday around 1:45 a.m. in the 4800 block of Pennsylvania Avenue SE in Salem. The shooter, according to Lt. Deputies talked to the residents at 4899 Pennsylvania and learned the residence had 10 children and one adult inside of at the time of the shooting. Witnesses describe an unknown suspect firing a weapon at a male subject in the intersection of 49th Ave SE and Pennsylvania Avenue. Deputies were unable to locate the victim who reportedly fled the area with a group of people in a red truck. Lorance says deputies searched the area and were unable to locate the suspect who is described as a Hispanic male, 19-21 years old, 5'9 to 5'10, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and dark clothing.
