Jun-27-2011 12:59TweetFollow @OregonNews IDF Issues Typical Slanderous Threats Toward Gaza Freedom Flotilla IISalem-News.comIsrael needs to simply let the Flotilla reach Gaza, that is all there is to it.
(ATHENS) - Salem-News.com doesn't hear from the Israeli Defence Forces very often, but not surprisingly today we did and the outcome is about what anyone would expect. As we get the early word that the The Audacity of Hope has been sabotaged, Israel's deadly military arm reminds us that they view people like Hedy Epstein, an 86-year old Jewish Holocaust Survivor who worked at the Nuremberg Trials convicting Nazi war criminals. The IDF said in today's press release: "In order to protect Israeli civilians from attacks by the terrorist organization Hamas, the IDF lawfully enforces a naval blockade on the Gaza Strip." The thing is, if anyone believes these humanitarian activists are terrorists, they have their heads screwed on wrong. Israel has to hold the record for the largest number of consistently issued false statements from a modern government. Israel killed almost 1500 civilians during Operation Cast Lead; over 400 children among the dead. The IDF said the heavily overbearing attack on civilians was in response to Hamas rocket attacks. Yet Hamas rocket attacks have only killed 28 Israeli citizens in all of the time they were used, over all those years. IDF sent this word: "Given previous attempts by the terrorist organization in smuggling weapons via land and sea and the inherent difficulties in conducting inspections at sea, it is critical that Israeli forces inspect all goods and material marked for Gaza prior to their transfer into the Strip". Israel needs to simply let the Flotilla reach Gaza, that is all there is to it. It would not set Israel back, but it would greatly raise world public opinion. All it takes is a beginning, and Israel's President has stated fears recently that Israel will cease to exist if it continues on the path it is on. I had hoped the IDF might have something positive to offer; there I go expecting things that are very unlikely. Still, we can hope and pray and resist this illegal siege. Excellent analogy, George.
But how come the
Editor: It's not a good analogy, it is a liar's perch and I get sick of you guys and your endless nitpicking and defense of Genocide and apartheid. It is like you didn't learn a damned thing from the plight of your ancestors. I think, knowing the suffering Israel causes, that you should both be ashamed of yourselves. Frankly I was surprised you weren't from the same IP.

"Yet Hamas rocket attacks have only killed 28 Israeli citizens in all of the time they were used, over all those years." Clearly the writer has no grasp of reality. I'll tell you what, I'm going to shoot rockets at you everyday of your life. There is a .5% chance that it will kill you but I guarantee damage to your property. I will not stop shooting these rockets because I don't believe you have a right to exist. If I get better rockets, I will shoot them at you. I am completely innocent as your rockets are stronger than mine though.
